450 Watts
Hi All
I have been researching this calibre, and I have some contradictory information.
Some say you CANNOT fire .458 Lott ammo in a .450 Watts, but others say you can. Does anyone here have a definitive answer? Does anyone here have a 450 Watts?
Also, how readily available is 450 Brass / Dies etc.
Thanks in advance

Re: 450 Watts
No experience with the Watts but it all depends on who cut the Lott chamber AND the Watts chember - tge Watts being a wildcat. The differnce in length is minute. I would try and gently chamber a Watts with the neck blackened,
feel for any resistance/deforming on closing the boltand carefully check if it touches anywhere. If not, it should be good.
.458 Lott dies are readily available and can be used on the Watts. Brass also no problem - I can supply 100 x .458 3"/Express once fired at R30 a pop plus postage and courier. Just need trimming. PM me in need
Cheers.

Re: 450 Watts
Thanks Peter.
The rifle was changed from 458WM straight to 450 Watts.
Yeah I was wondering because if for some reason I needed to get ammo quickly, 458 Lott factory ammo is available, so it would be an option if I didn't have any Watts reloaded ammunition.
I will get in touch should I need those cases. Thanks!

Re: 450 Watts
If the Lott cartridges fit the chamber, they should be safe to fire.
