For interest, here is my data from my own spreadsheets. For comparison, the S&B RN Factory ammo was also tested.
The Rangers were the only other premium brand I had for comparisons. They worked like a charm in the G42.

Gun Bullet Mnfr Bullet Gr Bullet Type Mnfr Name Speed Ave Power factor
    G42 Frontier 100gr RN Ball ZwartePiet Ball 925 92,500
    G42 Sellier & Bellot 92gr RN Ball SnB Factory Ball 826 75,992
    G42 Hornady XTP 90gr JHP ZwartePiet EDC 962 86,580
    G42 Winchester 95gr JHP Winchester Ranger 899 85,405

Oom Piet, what powder charges did you use for the 100gr Frontier and 92gr Hornady XTP?

    Hi Ds :)

    For the 100gr Frontier: Winchester SSP, 24.9mm, S121, 3.8 t 7
    For the 90gr XTP: Winchester SSP, 24.1mm, S121, 3.8 t 7

Explanation: "Track" (t) and "Push" (p) are what I use in my records instead of double digits for the powder charges. So you can, on a volumetric machine, never get a precise constant weight of powder (because powder hoppers measure in volume, not weight). It will always vary a little. So you can set the machine up for 3.8, but it will always vary. So you can set the machine up to throw 3.8 and vary downwards (track, for example "3.8 t 7") or vary upwards (push, for example 3.8 p 9), and you can note of the tendency if you measure it over several runs. From there it is to the crony. I find this method less insane and frustrating than trying to get constant weights measurement out of a constant volume measurement :) So, "3.8 t 7" means it is set up to mostly throw 3.8 grains, but if it varies, it tends to vary downwards (to 3.7), more often than it does upwards.

    Hope this makes sense :)

I found S&B JHP runs 100% in my 32ACP PPK. This olde pistol is also known to be sensitive. The S&B is loaded fairly hot and is heavier than most other brands. Can't see why the 380ACP JHPs shouldnt work for u. And it will be cheaper than American imports.
