RENEWAL impressive turn around

so i submitted my sect 13 renewal to the day of 90 days before expiry

submitted on 19th March
message today 10 April that renewal was issued

had many people freaking me out saying that the same motivation as originally used is needed

i literally took my original motivation, and watered it down to 4 pages including cover

renewals are done at Provincial, generally quite quick. handed mine (also sec13) in one Thursday in March, was approved the following Tuesday morning!

Busy with my 308 rifle this week.
Expires Dec only. So got about 2 months before due.
But not gonna take chances.

well after having to explain that i have a handgun on sect 15 which is valid for 10 years and therefore my comp is not expired,,,,,,, took awhile to get that across

im just happy its been done

and for the record dont be conned into the motivation done by experts thing for renewals anyways

My shotgun was done in 2 weeks, but my glock renewal handed in at the same time has been 3 months and counting.....

What did you hand in for your renewal? My sec13 is coming up for renewal, and my DFO said that all I have to submit is:
- the completed application form
- completed annexure form (?)
- 1x certified copy of ID
- 1x certified copy of license - front and back
- 2 x colour ID photos
- 2 c colour photos of safe
- R70

I asked about a motivation and the DFO said it wasn't neccesary?

I'm more than happy to submit one, but I'm worried the DFO will disregard it if they deem it unnecessary?

My DFO insisted on the motivation being attached. I have never heard that this is not required. Did my sec13 renewal now. Approved quickly but still waiting for the new card 2 months later

Mine was just as fast.... About 2-3 weeks till sms. That was back in November 2017 and I am still waiting for my card about 140 days later.

When you actually get your card then come brag here on gunsite!

mine said a small motivation

cant hurt to be safe, just no need for 87 pages
