    Default Re: Marks on primers

I have gotten the same markings on primers I have loaded, normally happens with a flake of powder gets between the primer and the primer ram on a progressive press happened on my ex Pro 1000, new Dillon RL550 and newest Dillon XL650

Primers work fine, the dent does not affect functionality

I've had marks like that on a sealed case from S&B. it's a factory default and not worth worrying about

If you buy CCI Benchrest rifle primers. Tehre is a B stamped into them. Reckon they do this before completing primer.

If you get grains of powder on your primer seating ram you can get this. It has absolutely no adverse effects.
