    Default 9MM carbines options

I am looking around for a 9mm carbine. My goal would be a rather short one with the possibility of adding a suppressor & fold able stock. Basically a 3 gun toy with cheaper ammo needs than my AR.

I love the looks of the old Mac10 style, is there anything similar available in ZA. Obviously semi not full.

The locally made BXP is very similar to a Mac10 and usually comes with a folding stock. Supressors can be easily fitted. I am in the planning stages of building one for mine. Finding mags can be a challenge, but not impossible. Prices are usually well below R5k.

Given no budget is mentioned, there are a number of options locally
New Frontier does an AR Silhouette 9mm
Colt does an AR Silhouette 9mm
Dave Sheer does an AR Silhouette 9mm
    Grand Power S9
    SAR
    POF MP5
    Chiappa M1-9
    Sig MPX
I also know of an Uzi currently available

Also, with no budget mentioned, Spartan Arms still has a 9mmP KRISS Vector. 16 inch barrel which gives plenty of space for a reflex suppressor to be added.

Price is very expensive and it’s a stupid choice unless you like fun and have the cash to spend.

Get it before PeaceOfficer grabs it :-)

Also consider the CZ Scorpion EVO 3, several shops seem to stock them. Cost is about half the price of the KRISS Vector.

The problem with the BXP is that there were several manufacturers, different quality and different mags.

Rumours are abounding that the 10mm version will be released next.
