SAPS 350 woes
Seems the SAPS 350 saga is getting worse. Very frustrating as you cannot apply for the license until it has been captured at CFR. Glocks at retailers are still showing up as Bernhard Agencies. FFS!!
Is this not something GOSA should take up as CFR is not performing their administrative duty, causing shops en retailers to loose income and gunowners being denied the opportunity to license their firearms?

Re: SAPS 350 woes
CFR is just using delay tactics which ever way they feel fit.

Fixing the admin issues should be the primary focus of any gun rights organisation currently

Re: SAPS 350 woes
I currently have an app in for a Ruger MarkIV i bought end March.
This was new stock that arrived in SA. Luckily Gun n Bows who brought them in.
Is one of the Ruger importers and a firearm retail dealer.
So i had no issues. First ever 350 I got from dealer that showed the USA company on.

Re: SAPS 350 woes
My application got sent back from CFR to my DFO because there was an issue with my SAPS 350 form.
I took time off work, went to my DFO, spent 2 minutes looking at the issue.
CFR enquiry serial number ***H***
Actual serial number ***G***
So, no issue with the 350 form, issue with incompetence.
Im on over 100 working days, and my application is back on its way to CFR for approval.
Holding thumbs to get my firearm in July 2021

Re: SAPS 350 woes
Also got bit by the 350 problem. My 308 according to saps systems belongs to a total different dealer then the one i bought it from. So now the dealers had to submit new 350's to get it back to their stock. Application is now standing at more then 6 months since submission. And this is like the third time they had to fix the 350 of the rifle

Re: SAPS 350 woes
I had such a problem too however the dealer was in no hurry to get the SAP350 TO THE CFR.
I gave him 2 weeks to do it or I collect my money.
He got it done in 6 days with confirmation
My license was approved three weeks ago and the entire process took 4 months though.

Re: SAPS 350 woes
Purchased a handgun mid December 2018. Was told by the dealer a week after purchasing that I should not submit my application because the fa doesn't reflect on their name yet and I should give it a month or so. Phoned my DFO yesterday to make an appointment and it still reflects on Berhard Agencies, just over 2 months later.

Re: SAPS 350 woes
I purchased a pistol from a national franchise on 22 November.
Still waiting for SAPS350 transfer etc for 3 months now.
The branch/company just doesn't care (also Bernhard Agencies related).
