    Default Old Union Safe

Good day all,so i have managed to secure a CZ 75 in good nic as my SD & PD FA for now,i also have an old union safe(made of lead & not tin can material as now a days..) that will be used for storing my FA when needed(when i have it eventually),it surpasses the minimum requirements for a safe, only thing still to do is mount it according to what SAPS wants for my SAPS competency & Licence to be done shortly, what is needed for this in terms of size, specification etc as i want to do it first time right..
    any advice?

    regards
    H.

If I understand your question, it needs to be rawl bolted to the structure of the house. 10mm bolts minimum.

It doesn't really say. If you want you can follow all the SANS standards, but they get complicated. Most guys just buy galvanised m10 bolts and put them in.

As per Hook, any 10mm bolts will do.

Where does one find the minimum specs for a safe room?

You have to buy the SABS 953-1 and 953-2 specs from the SANS. Costs around R350 or so each last time I checked.

Or you can just ask and someone might just email you the specs.
