    Default S&W .44 magnum model 29-2 "6 barrel value?

Hi. I'm new on this forum....
    I have a .44 magnum model 29-2.
    Great condition, built 1979 -1982.shot 20 rounds.
Its sleeping in the safe and I'm thinking about trading in or selling for a small Glock 9mm fot EDC IWB.

    I'm thinking G43 or G26 or maybe G36 ( .45 single stack is size in between G26 and G43 ).

Can someone help with value and advise?

What I dont like about Glocks is thats its not advisable too shoot lead bullets. I've hunted with cheap hard bullets and non-lead would not mushroom and are not good for hunting or self defence. Is that a problem or can you just clean the barrel after a few lead shots in a Glock...

If I only were to keep 1 of my glocks it would be the Glock 19.

Keep it, they are great guns. Guys just aren't willing to pay what they are worth. (Last one advertised was in the R7000 mark and still for sale IIRC)

Rather keep it or be prepared to sell it cheap.

KEEP IT! Pinned barrel recessed cylinder, they don't make em that way anymore. I have a 4" that was my service revolver when I was a Deputy Sheriff and also a 6.5" for hunting. N frames are great.

I recon you should get about R10k or more for the mod 29 in mint condition.

If not, it's still a great shooter.

The lead bullets in Glocks has been discussed often. I shoot almost exclusively cast lead bullets through mine and have zero issues. As with any other gun, the lead hardness must be enough to withstand the chamber pressure. With wax lube there is some lead smearing in the barrel. I now powder coat the bullets and the barrels stay a clean as with any jacketed bullet.

Yes it was I’m 66 now. Guess I’ll lose credibility with the youngsters on the site.
