Re: Aggressive Monkeys, advice needed
This actually requires another thread. I'll keep it short.
Yes, I am pretty sure about this. One tale was about a baboon who sat on the horse's rump when riding. The baboon would get into a nearby tree when camp was made as lookout. When Boers came near he would bark and climb down. When British troops came near he would bark and fall out of the tree. That was why he was "haastig en lastig".
Some of these songs were printed or rewritten in Brittain after the war, and words were changed. It should have been "om die Britte te vererg" and the Stellenbosch kommando were no heroes. They were National Scouts infamous for molesting women on farms.

Re: Aggressive Monkeys, advice needed
truth be told a painted monkey is more likely to be ripper apart by the troop
there were days of tying a rubber snake to a pumpkin with a small hole in it (monkey wont let go of the seeds and snake chases monkey)
but yeah im not that way inclined, they must just go jol somewhere else

Re: Aggressive Monkeys, advice needed
Seriously doubt that.
Monkeys are not stupid, members in a troop can identify each other in the dark. Scent plays a much bigger role than in human interactions.
I bet you can paint it pink and it will just go on with it's normal business.
Also, while many monkeys are trichromats, it's still very possible they don't even perceive color the same way we do.
