    You're missing plenty of points, man. He wasn't under the influence, or his defense would have played it. There were speculation, but never proof. Also, he didn't inherit a cent. SA's laws state that a criminal cannot profit from his crime, so he didn't get a cent from the inheritance, not to keep nor to spend on lawyers or anything else.

    How did the Griekwaland lad manage it then, as I understand it, he ended up with his step sister's share as well?

    No idea. Perhaps someone can shed some light on it? Maybe because he was 15 when he committed the crimes?

    He didn’t inherit in the end. The Master of the Court applied the “de bloedige hand neemt geen erft” rule.
