Butplate screws...
Hi guys, not sure if this is the right place for the tooic, but here goes....
I inherited a Miroku O&U shotgun from my grandpa. He loved firearms, but did not have the necesarry finess todothe finer works ona firearm... Any case, I got the gun, stripped the shallack and did a London oil stock finish on it. My trigger guard is supposed to be held in place with 2 but plate screws, but currently 2 normal woodscrews are doing the job... :-( I am in desperate need of 2 screws and no ons seems to be able to hep me. I was at Safari Outdoor, stock maker next to Parow arms, ohoned City guns and Hugo van Zyl Sports but no one seems to be able to help me... Where can I buy these screws? They need to be 20-25mm long, 4mm shank, counter sunk single slot rounded head @ 7mm diameter.... Any halp would be appreciated. Thanx

Re: Butplate screws...
Have you compared them to military 303 butt plate screws? It sounds like they might fit and should be available.

Re: Butplate screws...
Hi Ds J
I have attached a photo of what I think it should look like... The originals' heads were so damaged I did not think of keeping them.... Lesson learned. Where does one go and buy them, do you know perhaps?
Thanx a million

Re: Butplate screws...
Ask some local gun smiths. Most have a tray of old 303 goodies. Or some of the 303 aficionados might be able to help. You could ask Daan here on the forum.

Re: Butplate screws...
Thank you for that. Does Daan have a surname, usename or email address perhaps so I can contact the correct Daan?
