A friend just acquired a single shot 12ga, that he intends to convert into a slug gun for bushpigs at short range. He intends to have the barrel shortened (and choke removed) and rifle sights fitted. Sounds quite handy.

I would want a second shot for bush pig. If it doesnt go down after being shot with your only shot u could be in a world of trouble.
