I was appalled by the fact that my first set of rear sights were simply forced into the socket. I got another set dressed them properly with a good barret file, made an aluminium drift and fitted them after bluing. Pretty easy to do.

It seems that many sights are made a touch oversize. Watching the Dawson Precision sight fitting videos was very educational.
