A springer is usually much harder on a scope than a medium calibre center fire rifle, so no, usually not. There are also very few airgun scopes with decent quality lenses etc, since they are mostly aimed at the bottom end of the market. The better quality airgun scopes are mostly aimed at the PCP market, where recoil is not a factor.

That being said, I have 2 older (Jap) Tasco scopes that were marketed as airgun scopes, with paralax adjustment down to a few meters. Both did duty on center fire rifles, up to 375H&H and lasted well. The one has broken 1 leg of the crosshair, the other is still used on my .22 rifle. I suspect they were of the better type.

I have an old Tasco world class 4x40, nice fine crosshair, done duty on the 22 for many a year, and a 308 for a couple thousand shots.
    It never changed its POI.

I suspect it will outlive me, and for a cheapie, that is priceless.
