CONSTANT banks calling looking for employees- HELP needed

hi gents we are getting constant calls from banks and "furniture stores" looking for employees who they decided to give credit and loans too

this has nothing to do with my business as it was a private transaction between them and the employee

is there anyway to stop these bastards phoning by business line ten times a day? Its not my fault african bank and the likes lend carelessly, this is really starting to take time away from my business

i have gone so far as to contact one of the stores head offices and discuss litigation with regards to harrassment.

as far as i can see it goes like this:

johnny goes to lewis stores, fills out a form for credit, gets said 60" plasma, pays two months installments, never pays again.closes his account, opens a new one and gets a sofa set from joshua doore (who are more than happy to issue loans at high interests rates to everyone)

Land line? If it were a cell you could block the calls very easily. If you have a modern PABX it shouldn't be impossible either?

I told my guys if they ever use my number as a reference to confirm employment or debt etc. I will say they have been fired and everybody is looking for that person for outstanding debt. A lot of companies are also looking for my predecessor, in the beginning I told them nicely that he is not working here anymore. Later on if they ask for him I will tell them please hold and after 5 min holding, I inform them that he has not been working for us in the last 3 years. It seems that they got the drift.

I also once had to threaten with legal action and reporting them for harassment to their Ombudsman, that seemed to work nicely

Were also getting where the guy never worked here or has left +3years back.
Reckon the stores never did checks when they handed out loans.

done it on my cell

well the big furniture store stopped calling after i had a chat with their head office and offered to put the person i was speaking to cell number down for my employees to put as reference

We used to get 2 types of calls for one of our employees, 1 looking for money and the other offering more, sometimes from the same place.

My secretary used to freak out at the people on the phone. "She has 3 garnashee orders and you're offering to give her another account! In 6 months you'll be phoning me because she hasn't paid! Are you stupid?"

We had a good laugh about it at the time, but I lost all sympathy for those companies that offer store cards to all an sundry.
