    Default 9.3 x 62 Help

My first hunt with my new 9.3x62.

I have PMP 286GR PRO AMM and like to hunt Kudu. The ammo is very scarce what will you suggest for kudu in the bushveld? Not reloading 9.3x62 yet. Rifle CZ550. Looking for a round with the least meat loss. Urgent hunting next week.

At 9.3 velocities the Pro-Amm will work just fine.

Agree. Plus Federal Fusion if you do not want to buy the local stuff.

I have used Norma Oryx with great success on Wildebees, Eland, Gemsbok, Kudu etc. All the bullets performed very well and stayed structurally bonded as expected.

Pro-amm will be fine in 9.3. Prvi (Highland) 285 gr. is fine too. In bullet tests some guys here in Canada did the Hornady Interlock was one of the softest bullets they tested, so might not be the best for meat damage. I have even used the 270gr Speer and found meat damage acceptable, Norma Alaska works OK as well but I have had jacket/core separations wit them.

Use it! Ammo will be fine - I've used this exact combo with zero issues. PMP holds together well enough, especially for kudu.

If you want the LEAST meat damage then use a premium or mono, but really not necessary. Meat damage with pro-am is minimal in any case.

On the 9.3x62 Facebook group, pictures of pro amm bullets are routinely posted. They seem to do well at those velocities.
