You really fail to see the recoil point? Truly? Where, pray tell, did anybody “complain” about the recoil.

Here’s a fun exercise. Go take some factory carry ammo in both your guns. Shoot a couple of bill drills. See which calibre YOU can shoot faster while making the hits.

I can shoot a 40 pretty well actually.

Guess what. I shoot a 9mm better. It has more goes. Is cheaper so I can shoot more. The guns last better and work better. And for no real world loss.

I don’t believe is fairies or stopping power. I believe in being able to shoot well. In having sufficient SA , training , skill and winning mindset. Whereas a lot of team 40 seem to think their magic bullets will make up for. It won’t.

If carrying a 40 makes someone feel better rock on. But don’t pretend it brings more to the table realistically in 2018.

Why carry a caliber that's starts with 4 and doesn't end with 5?

I shot a Shield 40 recently thinking I’d get it at a good price. After shooting it with carry rounds, I declined the offer. No, it didn’t break my wrists and hurt my ego. But I definitely see no advantage in a carry gun that’s harder to shoot weak hand and strong hand only for ZERO advantages over 9mm.

So the 40 edc is worst off than the 9mm edc?

The question was who carries 40 and why. Not why you don’t carry 40!!

I am very good with my 40 and sure as well I wont hit my shots better with a 9mm than the 40.

If grouping size is all you worry about sure go with a 9mm but real world the difference is small.

In the end its all about knowing your firearm and practice non stop!

The difference in controlability between a 9mmP and 40S&W would be very noticeable considering that you are carrying a subcompact Glock 27.

Less recoil in a particular sized gun means you can shoot as accurately but quicker than more recoil, not that one is more or less accurate overall.

It's got nothing to do with being able to 'handle' recoil or how good you are. I can handle a 454 Casul but my bill drill time will be quicker with a subcompact Glock in 9mmP than one in .40 or .45 because physics
