Hi everyone i am new to the site from Cape Town, i have submitted my request for competency last week. Any idea how long this process take these days? looking forward to using my soon to be 19X.

Some are decently quick. Mine was 47working days which I think is quite good considering they have 90 to do it.
I kept phoning them once a week. When it went into consideration it took about three weeks to get approved.

Now im waiting for my license. I hope it also goes quick.

Hi and welcome! I handed in my application on the 30th of April and it was approved 12 June, now just waiting (im)patiently for my card...

Thanks Eraser, i will be starting my contact to the CFR on Monday, i believe that this SAPs Comp takes longer to process than the firearm license? is that correct?
