Default Athlon Ares BTR and ETR

Anyone have first hand experienced with either of these scopes in any magnification? Thoughts, opinions?

The American internet says they are ok. But they have free access and easy back up. Unless there is a well established local agent is avoid them.

There is a local agent apparently. How good they are will only show once the product fails and needs to be repaired or replaced.

I would also like to know how these prodicts and their agents are performing locally.

I handled a Argos recently when filming a side by side comparison video for a review, the athlon was basically brand new and I could feel something was loose in the optic, very concerning. Then I found out that the owner as on his second one as his first one had a fault on it too.

Sometimes when choosing optics you don't only look for how good your warranty/backup is but also the odds of having to need it. Even S&B have failures, but what are the odds. Now if only I could afford one of those beauties

I really hope 0% with my S&B PMII 5-25, from what I read in another thread...local back up is nonexistent.

I Have a talos 1x4 btr on an AR. Its taken a real beating and still works great.

Ive dealt with the agent and ive had no issues so far. I have an argos 2x10 incoming as well. Can let you know once ive played with it?
