This got my interest as I have never heard of the caliber before. Seems like a very old blackpowder cartridge for the Winchester 1876.

Re-loading will make it easier on the budget.
You can contact Hansie Minnaar, he will be able to draw you some brass casings for this caliber since he can use the 45-70 brass to do it as well ...

Keep in mind , the 40-65 Winchester and the 40-60 Marlin, there seems to be a difference in the brass dimensions..
