    Default Revolver gunsmith referral

    Hi

My Astra 5 shot 38sp has a "timing" issue, as I have been told.

1 of the cylinders is not firing, the firing pin is hitting close to the rim of the case.

Where can i take it to for an inspection in the south of JHB or surrounds

If you can make it to Vanderbijlpark, try Greg Gardin (Google for contact/address details)

I have heard that Gunworx in Randfontein is also very good - try Wikus 083 3800694 .

I went there recently, the old man working there wasn't too friendly or helpful, however this Wikus guy is not based there by my understanding. I believe he comes there to do work in the workshop which is separate from the gunworx shop/range.

I wonder if they realize that being unfriendly and just overall not interested has potentially cost them a client.
I know someone that walked out of a store after being made fun of by the staff, and he had come there to buy a pistol and a scope. Easily over 20k spent elsewhere because of shitty staff attitude.

Not saying i expect someone to bow before me and suck up to me, but a bit of manners and courtesy goes along way.

That's my view too. It's not an easy place to get to but whatever reason he had has definitely had that effect

Very nice, glad you came right.
    Happy with the workmanship?
