Default SAIMAA STILL BRAKES FOR LM/R RIFLES.

We now also have Saimaa Still brakes threaded in 13x1 for LM and R rifles.

The brake accepts the Saimaa Still QD Suppressor - real QD!.

The brake can be tuned as shown in this video clip

Would something like this be available for the FN \ FAL?

I think that they do a 5/8-24 thread for AR10 pattern guns.

FALs are 9/16-24 LH or RH depending on age.

If they can make 13x1s for LMs they can make for the FAL surely.

FALs typically have a lot of barrel ahead of the gas block. It may be more time efficient to get a 5/8-24 and have a gunsmith re-cut the thread.

I would be pretty interested to see how one of these cans runs on a FAL seeing as they are low back pressure and designed not increase bolt velocity.

All of the suppressed FALs I have seen have problems with both. The one I shot would send brass into orbit with the gas set on its minimum.

Yes - the lead time depends if they have the FN/FAL thread as a standard item. If so we can order one and if not, then it is a special order which means that we have to order 15 or so and it takes time (like 2 months or so) to get it done.

What thread pitch is used on the FN/FAL so I can ask Saimaa Still?

I am hesitant to do it if it is special order because we will prob sit with surplus brakes ...

    Thanks on the thread pitch.

Economically speaking the US 308 thread is the way to go. Afaik we have 2 brakes in stock currently and the suppressors in 308.

Thanks for the info SSP. I would love to suppress my FAL, but I would not like to compromise the useability of the rifle.

Thanks Khumba, can you PM me a price or shall I contact the shop? Have you tried these on a FAL before?

No have not tried it on a FAL but if it works nicely on a direct impingement system (ar15 223 AND 308) it should be the best of all the other suppressor systems on a FAL.

    Please give Gerrit a call on 012 348 2203.
