    Thanks A-R, I think I'll go for the recoil pad option. I dont really want to modify it too much.

    Renier...I have a wooden stock,pistol grip and fore-end off a standard type 56. They are off my 56 which i kitted.

    No idea as to the compatabillity with your rifle.

    Saying AK and wooden stock is being kind...the stock looks like it was crudely fashioned with a blunt axe by a drunk russian using wood from an old pallet.

    My turn to rephrase - I didn't read carefully and simply assumed (assumptions has led to world wars!) that yours was the standard model. Please follow the better advice of the other participants.

    Lol, the closest any russian came to that specific rifle was when they handed the schematics to the Chinese over 70 years ago :)
