The NPA has been totally and utterly infiltrated by political appointees, a number of whom are totally incompetent.... How can anybody take it seriously!

I think the NPA will prosecute to keep Gerrie Nel and Afriforum from doing a private prosecution, but will make sure to mess it up.

Remember that as at today's date the NPA is still "deciding" whether or not to prosecute Malema for his actions. It is only when (if?) the NPA decided NOT to prosecute him that a private prosecution becomes possible and, then, only when (if?) the NPA issues a "nolle prosequi" (viz. in simple terms, a formal, written document issued by the NPA) confirming this...

Methinks that there are still loads of hoops which need to be passed through before Gerrie Nel and Afriforum will have an opportunity to pursue Malema!!

On August 21, Eastern Cape NPA spokesperson Luxolo Tyali told News24 while a decision had been made, it could not be revealed.
"A decision has been made but it has to be communicated with the two suspects before it can be shared with the public and media. We will issue a statement when the time is right," said Tyali.
