Re: Malema shooting assault rifle into the air.
What would be the charge based on events should it be a live firearm? (there is claim it was a fake)
Discharge of a firearm in a public space?
Who would get in more trouble (assuming the law actually was not politically swayed) Juju for firing the rifle, or the security guard whose gun it was?
I wonder if GFSA would have the balls to press charges? Or would they not want to actually do something with the funds other than claim it's "for the children"

Re: Malema shooting assault rifle into the air.
I hope he gets prosecuted. If not I just hope it goes to trial. And if he gets away with this, it sets a precedent that it is OK to brandish/openly carry and firing an "assault" rifle in public and at events/parties.
Either that or it sets a precedent that it is fine to do so as long as you are wearing red overalls.

Re: Malema shooting assault rifle into the air.
Malema, the EFF and that security guy didn't bargain on someone taking a video and sharing it.

Re: Malema shooting assault rifle into the air.
Real gun or fake one, does it matter? It appears to public eye to be a real firearm. It makes a muzzle flash like a real firearm. It recoils like a real firearm. Should a robbery be conducted with a fake but realistic firearm, it still is armed robbery? I stand to be corrected.
