    So the question i came across: Is there an alternative? If not why not? Why are they allowed to hold a monopoly over the industry especially if its just a numbers game? (if all is true).

    There is just one single situation where a re-evaluation of some kind makes sense; that is when the psychological stability of a person comes in doubt. Examples of this can be due to mental illness, severe trauma causing a change in personality or similar situations.

    It is simply not fair to implicate all due to a potential problem which might affect only a few.

    Governing bodies revuenue come from control... more control, more revenue.
    Of course they would want more control, and of course they will sell their mothers to gain it.
