Re: Aluminum Gas block durability
Back to this
Does anyone know of a high quality reliable low profile gas block available in SA?
I’ve been looking at the Geisellie options and like them.
This will need to work right the first time and will need to be 100% reliable and functional in the long run.

Re: Aluminum Gas block durability
Out of interest, does anyone have an idea on how long one could realistically shoot an aluminum gas block on a rifle (such as the SigM400) without incident or is this a ‘how long is a piece of string’ type of question?

Re: Aluminum Gas block durability
Perhaps just run it and see. In all likelihood it will outlast your shooting. I have one on a rifle length gas system. Probably less than 200 rounds through it but no indication of leaks at all. If decent material there is no reason to believe it won't last a long time for sporting purposes.

Re: Aluminum Gas block durability
This is a carbine length gas system which could accelerate potential issues if they arise.
