Proof of residence

So I bought a rifle and want to hand in my application, but was wondering if my lease/rental agreement is fine as my proof of residence. I have had it certified at the police.

Any feed back will be greatly appreciated as I've wasted a lot of time trying to get my landlord to give me a affidavit and elec/rates account...

Generally when you do not have FICA in your name:

Copy of ID of Property Owner
Utility Bill of the Property Owner
Letter from the property owner confirming that you reside at that address.

However for my last 3 applications I have used a payslip which is dated and has my address and this has been accepted.

I went in with the landlord today actually and we both filled out an affidavit and it was stamped and signed,handed it to my dfo and he was happy.

I have never once ever handed in "proof of residence" with an application.

I invite them to do a safe inspection and they can see where I live.

I also don't do photographs of my safe.

Sorry, this is also first ever for me. I have applied way over 30 times in my life so far. And March this year latest.
never ever have I had to give proof of residence to DFO. Nor have they asked.
On 271 they ask address but thats it.

DFO must visit your address for safe inspection. But that should be fine for him to know where you stay then as well.

I also don't do photographs of my safe.

On this point. Have you done a new renewal of license yet.
As they now ask to see the safe locking mechanism. Example key in door.
The bolts to wall and floor and the lugs holding door closed.
These photos gets attached to Renewal form.
You also either need o take firearm to DFO to inspect numbers.
Or he has to come view at house.

For new app they dont ask this. Or any other apps after they have done inspection.
But renewals so far they ask pics.

I have renewed many times.

I have also never had to present a firearm to be inspected by the police. I had to get a gunsmith to do a report to correct a calibre description though.
