    Default ShotKam

Anybody use a ShotKam? How long did the batteries last? Seems you have to ship back to the manufacturer in the US to get them replaced every two years or so.

I’m thinking of bringing a few back from the US but just wanted to get some feedback from users in SA re the batteries.

    Howsit boet.

I brought one in last year around this time, been using it at least twice a month for about 3-4 hours at a time. Never had the battery die on me while i was out shooting.

I had one issue where the wifi stopped working, they tried everything they could to help (sending new config. files etc). After that did not work I had to ship the camera back to them which cost ME around R750.00. They shipped me back a new one and covered all the costs.

Whole episode took around 2 weeks, time zone difference was a shlep which added to most of the delay.

Using the new one for about 3 months now with no issues so far.

All I can say is awesome tool, Brought my average up from 8-10 sporting clays to 20-22 at the moment.

    I would highly recommend it.

If you need anymore info drop me a pm.

Thanks for the response will keep searching for a similar alternative. I've currently got a gopro sports mount which I've used a couple times with my Hero 3, It gets awesome shots but it's quite bulky.

It depends: the handgun model is $495 but the shotgun ones we got were $695. You can work out the exchange rate. They are duty free but you still have to pay VAT.
