    i bought mine when the dollar was around R14.00, Cost to get it in my hands was around R11 500. I know i paid FEDEX around R2200 for duties/clearance/vat

    Ive heard apparently the battery is the problem on them. That has to be replaced after time.
    And then only Shotkam themselves can do it.

    Not a problem besides having to be replaced by them every 3 years or so. An important aspect is making it shock resistant given the recoil, and aligning/calibrating it again, so unfortuanately it is not user replaceable.
    I regularly travel to the US so will just have to get replacements done while I’m there.
