Just check that they will ship here “I know a guy” who ordered from the USA and lost them as they were held in customs. Rather try get someone to bring them for you.

I concur, be careful particularly with chokes.

Customs either love to keep chokes because they love them so much or because they don's know what they are and still decide to keep them.

    Ask me I know.

So i took the dive and ordered a set of extended chokes from brownells, used fedex shipping.

    ordered on 12/11/18 received 21/11/18.

biggest cost was shipping, clearence and vat @ R 1500

chokes where R 1000 for both.

no clearemce issues, just had to fill some paperwork when it got this side

I just ordered some new chokes for the beretta. Managed to get them on a Black Friday deal for about R435 each :)

You should check out Amarex Global Shipping. They give you a NY address you ship there and they ship to you. Way cheaper than asking the US companies to ship here.

It’s actually Aramex Global Shopper. You pay a once off membership of about R150 you then get a whole lot of shipping addresses world wide.

You ship there and they ship to you.

Is this a safe option and does your parcel contents still get checked by Customs here in SA?
Does your parcel go anywhere near the JIMC (Johannesburg INTERNATIONAL MAILING CENRE)?

Can one also order items from Amazon.com that would not normally be sent to South Africa ie. holsters etc?
