I realize there are several factors involved, but would also be interesting to know in general how much different the short 11 inch barrel patterns / spread in comparison for instance with an 18 inch barrel...

Luckily not that much. It was marked down on the Safari Outdoor Specials 3 weeks back.
They had it at 22 marked down to 11. They had it for 2 years or so in stock. Importers say will be closer to 30 to bring in.

I sold my trusty 366 Hornady and paid rest in on this press. So was not a huge outlay.
