    Does anyone know what type of stainless steel was used by Colt for their Gold Cups? I have a 1993 model that needs some welding on the frame and I would like to match the material if possible.

    If you want welding done properly on a 1911, you need to go to Aerospace Welding at Rand Airport (0118276420) and speak to Mike Clark.
