Trijicon HD's vs Truglo TFX
Howdy folks,
I need to replace the standard contrast sights on my EDC (P320 sub) and have pretty much narrowed options down to the Trijicon HD's and the Truglo TFX sights.
Having had the HD's on my P320 FS and can say that I honestly felt an immediate improvement in my sight acquisition times when compared to my P229 which has standard contrast sights (barrel length notwithstanding). There's also a lot of positive comments on the Truglo's and they're cheaper.
Pretty sure that either would be a good option but always helps to hear from people with first hand experience of both who can provide direct comparisons (pro's; con's etc)
Thanks

Cost is your biggest benefit on the truglo. Swiss made tritium inserts and a local agent.
Trijicon is a tried and tested design, but with a premium price tag.

I work for them so can't use GS for advertising.

Re: Trijicon HD's vs Truglo TFX
No experience with the TFX or Trijicon, but did have the TFO's fitted to my P320 for a while before selling it.
They work great for edc. I considered "plain" night sights but the truglo just offers the best of both night sights and fibre optics. They are really bright and visible in low light as well as day time.
I can strongly recommend them for EDC and will definitely fit them to my other edc pistols in future.
Probably not the best choice for a dedicated sports pistol though imo.

Stay away from anything that has flashing lights in the rear sight.
Most you want is subdued tritium dots with no rings etc

Not sure if I've got my wires crossed but it appears the Truglo's are 172 USD versus 165 USD for the HD's.

Re: Trijicon HD's vs Truglo TFX
To complete the circle (of life) thought I'd update this thread.
Eventually settled on a set of Sig X-RAY 3 night sights. If my research is correct, these are rebranded TruGlo's.
Be that as it may, these sights are pretty damn good. It's an exponential improvement over the standard sights. I find that I'm able to pick up my sights a lot quicker on draw/presentation.
They also glow pretty bright at night so there's never any doubt as to where the gun is :-)
Single more important investment I've made on this handgun to date.
