Default Some Opinions on Red Dot

So about April I bought a Ruger Mark 4 Target with wood grips.

Although the Mark 4 is brilliant and disassembles incredibly quick.
they added a crap trigger on it. So I ordered some Brownells Volquartsen stuff to Pimp it out and make it the way it should be.

    Any case.

    So parts arrived.
    With Sight Rail.

Now I want to add a red dot on it.

So was looking over weekend and saw the following.

    Vortex Croossfire 2 Red dot.

    And Vortex Viper red dot.

But cant decide which way to go.

    Any opinions.
The viper is nice compact and small to fit on the Ruger.

The Crossfire is cheaper. But looks like it will be more capable of possibly taking knocks.

Any thoughts which might be better option.

I have the Vortex Venom, Viper and Doktor red dots on my Glocks.
    They all rock!
Buy once cry once, - don't skimp.

I'd go for the vortex venom over the viper, as the battery can be changed without removing the entire sight from the rail like the viper.
    And it's nice and compact

The Venom also has an auto-brightness setting. It is a bit taller than the Viper, but the base is slightly narrower. I installed one on my Glock 19 G4 MOS last weekend. I am very happy with it. I have only put 150 rounds through the glock with the sight on but have not had any issues with the sight or plates loosening up. A spot of blue thread lock is advisable.

Sitting at 600 rounds (mix of 147 and 115gr FMJ) and not a single complaint and no issues with the mounting screws loosening up.

I went with a HPO which is basically a rebranded Cmore RTS that's available locally and used by many IPSC Open shooters. So far very happy with it
