D F O Florida
Just a quick one. I was wondering who the current DFO at Florida police station is.
I think I previously dealt with Willem Claasens, a very pleasant and helpful chap.
Thanks in advance, all the best, Mike

Re: D F O Florida
Reopening an old thread..
I visited the Florida DFO with an application for a firearm and the DFO lady asked me to do the full set of fingerprints for my app which was a bit odd because I haven't had to those for any of my other apps previously with other DFO's. Apart from this I can't remember the last time I gave a full set of fingerprints.
Anyway, at the end I asked her if I have another 8 apps that I would like to hand in, do I need to do fingerprints for every app again and her answer was yes.
There is no way I am doing 8 sets of fingerprints for those applications, so I would like to know if anyone else has had this experience from the Florida DFO? My Google-Fu shows another SAPS station in Horison, is that DFO perhaps better to deal with in this regard?

Re: D F O Florida
This is the most incompetent, useless, lazy DFO I have ever had to deal with.
My license was approved on the 1st of August, since the first week of September I have been phoning weekly to find out if my license can be collected and every time I only get "we will call you when it's here".
This morning I stopped by the DFO, she asked whether I received a phone call to which I replied in the negative, she then says they'll call me when it arrives so I ask her if she's not going to look whether it's there or not to which she says no. I then told her that either she looks and confirms whether it's not there or I'm going to the station commander and I'm bringing my lawyer into this.
It turns out that my license has been there since the 2nd of September...
I am very VERY relieved that I have changed to a different DFO some time ago
