Default Ruger 10/22 feedback from owners.

Starting a new thread, from the last. Looking for feedback from 10/22 owners. How was your overall experience with it in terms of reliability ,practical accuracy. Any tips or pointers would be appreciated.

I have the carbine model, comes standard with a 10 round mag. High capacity mags are iffy. The factory supplied rail needs a bit of loctite or it works lose. Other than that the rifle is reasonably accurate and fun to shoot.

Big deciding factor to me was cost. It’s cheaper than a 15/22

I've been thinking about one for a while too. But now considering spending an extra R3k and getting a Norinco T56. Cost of 7.62 ammo is much higher obviously, but I think I might get bored of shooting .22lr.

Thank you . What sort of groupings can be expected? I know its not a precision rifle, but has anyone shot groupings at 50 or a 100m?

I can hit a coke can (most of the time) at 50m :)

Safari and Outdoor have the tactical carbine version for R6150... Is that a good price?

I have the charger take down model. Fun to shoot when it doesn’t jam. Reliable most of the time but does jam from time to time with different ammo running through two bx-25 mags. Also gets very dirty very quickly.
