Another option is KIDD, same price bracket as VQ

Re: Ruger 10/22 feedback from owners.
Hi
In my experience the 10 22 is very accurate, you need to play around and find the correct ammo, mine loves lapua centre x and shoots 1/2 inch groups at 50m with it. there are some tricks to getting the best accuracy.
1 replace the recoil buffer with a plastic one.
2 When you cock it for the first round, pull the lever back and let it go with full force other wise I found the fist shot was always low.
3 the triggers are not great but by "catching the link" you can improve the trigger release a lot.
4 keep the inside well lubed ( corrosion x) works best for me then they run reliably.
5 stick to the 10 round mags, the 30 round ones nearly always jam up especially when firing fast.
interesting enough, subsonic ammo shoots better that the fast stuff.

Re: Ruger 10/22 feedback from owners.
I nearly forgot to mention, in my experience, the 10 22 can be pretty hard on scopes, i had a lynx give up on me a few times. I think because the bolt slams home, it is a bit like a springer airgun. I eventually put a hawk airmax scope on and have had no problems since.

Re: Ruger 10/22 feedback from owners.
Just a follow up. I contacted Guns and Bows and they very promptly sent me the plastic recoil buffer. Actually three in a packet. Works fine in the 10-22 TD. I also booked the Ruger 10-22 TD as well as the 22/45 Lite pistol for a trigger job at MRS Technologies. Took just a week and both triggers are much better. Good way to start the new year. Thanks guys.

What did they do to the trigger and how much did it cost?
