New frontier armory/DM4/Bushmaster.

Hi guys.

I need a little input, has anyone shot with a new frontier armory AR15? going for around R13000k-15000k.

how does it match up against other budget AR's like bushmaster CQR or the DM4?

I'm looking to get into sport shooting nothing majorly competitive, but I still want something decent that's not a waist of money.
I don't have a big budget if I can scrape R20k together that will be a lot.

All input will be much appreciated.

Also consider the DPMS. A Few gunshops have advertised them at R15-17k.

I think the Bushmaster and DPMS have chrome lined barrels.

Do you own a DPMS and if so is it a reliable well made weapon?

No, I don’t have one, just saw it advertised and liked it. Bushmaster, DPMS, Smith&Wesson, Frontier, DM4 etc are all good entry level guns. Personally, I’d go for a chrome lined barrel.

My police department has 10 DPMS rifles, 2 16inch carbines and 8 kitty cats(7 inch barrels). They have all proven reliable and accurate. We have had them about 5 years now. I would stick with Bushmaster, DPMS or Smith & Wesson if you are looking for a lower tiered gun that will be good to go.

I have the New Frontier Armory.
Fired 500 plus rounds through it now.
Goes bang every time, doesn't jam and have no problem hitting in the rings of A4 target from 100m on a bench with open sights.
So seems to place the bullet where you point it fairly well.
Got it because of slim fore end, dust cover and forward assist where all a plus compared to other AR15's in that price bracket.

Thank you for the feedback guys, can't find a place with new frontier in stock at the moment, so my options are now between DPMS Oracle @ R15 000, DM4 @ R17500/18500 and S&W M&P sport 2 (Optic ready) @ R19100.

which is the best buy, is it better to go for the DPMS and upgrade which will get me to the R19 000- R20 000K in any case or is it just better to go for the DM4 or S&W?

I went and checked out the S&W and DPMS but the DPMS doesn't feel as "solid" as the S&W, still the dealer insisted that DPMS is just as good. I will have to replace the gas block on both if I want a free floating barrel.

so buy @ R19100 or upgrade from R15 000?
