NHSA endorsement problem
I wish to licence a pump action shotgun on S15 which occasionally I will use to partake in postal shoots held by NHSA and participate in informal target shooting, I applied for an endorsement from NHSA but they issued the endorsement for a S16 app not a S15 app. This was their reasoning:
"You have dedicated status and must thus apply for a Section 16 licence (dedicated hunting or dedicated sport shooting). We have changed the endorsement accordingly"
Last year NHSA approved an endorsement for a S15 handgun of mine even although I had DSS. Any help/clarification would be appreciated!

An endorsement for a S15 firearm? 1st I've heard of it.

Re: NHSA endorsement problem
I did a old Lee Enfield on a S15 and they gave me an endorsement for it (occasional hunting), this was in 2016 though... Have done several S16's through them as well. Phone and speak to them?

Re: NHSA endorsement problem
just ask them to change it as you want it under sec 15, if you have DSS there is no reason not to get it sec16 though.

Re: NHSA endorsement problem
Any particular reason why you would not want to have it S16 licensed? The advantages of going S16 far outweighs going to S15 route, in my opinion.

Re: NHSA endorsement problem
You don't need an endorsement for a S15 licence application

Re: NHSA endorsement problem
If your dedicated why even bother with S15?
Or S13.
Just make everything S16. the others just limits your ammunition.
And with a shotgun you more then likely will always buy a box of 250. As shops prices on box cheaper then loose.
On S15 or 13 you wont be able to buy it as your limit is 200.
