Sender has to show licence and ID. I am sure receiver has too, but recently had two rifles sent to me where I only had to sign for the package. No ID/licence checks at all.

So how do Ram know or even check if this was delivered correctly then? Or they dont?

A normal person would think they will check license on delivery.
But if you go through threads on here.
You will see they even sometimes just deliver to receptionist at work or cleaning lady at your house.
Not sure if they sharpened up on this.

Maybe things changed since last year.
This was my experience with them.
I had to send it via the gun shop, Jhb, to another Gunshop in Cape Town.
According to them that was the only way to do it.
Signed it off at my Gun Shop, a week before I was to arrive in Cape Town.
Week later arrived in Cape Town, went to the gun shop, fire arm was not there.
The next week and weekend was over Christmas and New Year's and the gun shop was closed.
I paid R900 to have the firearm sent to Cape Town.
I never received it in Cape Town, it laid in their storage for three weeks.
After returning from holiday in Cape Town to Johannesburg I received my firearm four weeks later after handing it in the first time.
Their excuse was that there was too many parcels and they couldn't get it to me on time. Furthermore they said they do not courier it to a private residence.
Needless to say I will never do this again, and never support Ram again.
From now on if I need to travel to another city in the RSA I fly via SAA and take the fire on with me.
I never want to stress not knowing where my fire arm is,- ever again!
