Cleaning kit ID
Good day.
Any idea with which firearm this cleaning kit came with ? I tried opening it without success, seems it was in storage for a long time.

Re: Cleaning kit ID
Difficult to judge size from pic, but looks like an AK/T56 one that fits on the stock

Re: Cleaning kit ID
It doesn't look too rusted? (But it may be dented a little preventing opening). Just turn the lid / cap until it stops and then pull. It locks sort of like a jack plug for a VCR etc.
Its for an AK, I have about 5 of them. These are the original multifunction tools. Every cut out and hole drilled in it serves a function, from turning the front sight post to being a bore guide (the cap).

Cap should twist off.
Agreed. Looks like an AK toolkit.

Re: Cleaning kit ID
The kit you have is just the stuff that slides into the hole in the stock. The cleaning rod under the barrel attaches to the cleaning kit container that becomes the handle. The oil bottle would be a separate (mostly green plastic) bottle that would be kept in a soldier's kit; not in or on the gun.
