Yes that is not my intention, that's why I carry a torch as well.

The reason for me mentioning switching off the pumps etc, is that when I need to use a gun at night in that scenario, I would like to have more light for that as opposed to an indoor SD scenario.

I have a Glock WML on my G22. It is very nice and shines out quite a long way and fits the profile of the pistol nicely. Ambi on / off. No other functions to mess around with
    It's a H&K P30

Great. I've found that a good quality EDC torch (800+ lumens) like my Klarus is ideal for brightening up the situation.
Scan and sweep the problem areas, keep FA at the ready. Recently did a low-light/no-light course and it really highlights the pro's and cons of SelfDefense and torch work at night.

I've responded to all relevant PM's regarding the X300

Why the question? Are they prone to problems?
