As far as I know Thundergun makes their own. But for making at home BRM is the best. Reminds me i need to go stock up for the holidays

A couple of years ago there was a deli/butchery at Life Style Centre in Randburg. I was there one day and wanted some ribs. The burly butcher guy said they did their own and they were the best in town. I dipped some of the sauce and called him out on that. He eventually and reluctantly admitted they got them from BRM. I suspect many restaurants do the same.

A restaurant or bar sort of guy?
Zagora at Royal Elephant Hotel has an excellent selection of Beef, lamb and Pork ribs....All VERY GOOD.

If he likes bars. Bosvelder to me has lekker good ol fashioned ribs

secret with BRM ribs

look at checkers or any butcher, same vacuum wrap as BRM but no cardboard box, we were paying about R60 a kilo

these turned out to be BRM ribs whose cardboard packaging had been damaged. Won like this a few times now

But BRM is the best rib for a braai at home

What does these ribs cost at the BRM factory outlet, by the way? I see one opened up not far from my office and man, I'm a sucker for a good rack of ribs...

R234 for a 2 kg. R129 for a 1 kg.

Hmm it's not as cheap as I expected, TBH. How much of the bags you get is sauce and how much is actual ribs? That's what usually gets me. You buy 1kg but then 300g of that is just sauce you end up dumping.

Their beef ribs are also great.

@Toxxyc, sometimes I feel they could add al little MORE sauce.

And the meat:bone ratio of ribs is terrible. So in that 1kg bag you get less than 500g meat.
