Does anyone have an idea if the 720 round norinco tins of 7.62x39 contain corrosive ammo?

Isn't all ammo corrosive, but, modern ammo lesser?

I wouldn't worry too much about it, as long as you clean your ak every now and then

Most 7.62x39 surplus comes in 720 round tins, two tins to a case - alkways has.

I also had to re look. But as a matter of fact all the ak ammo we got at the shop is 720 round tins.

Our range ak has no corrosion but gets shot daily so not sure if that would just clean and re contaminate the barrel leaving too little time to mess with the steel.

I have an AK and want to get the 1440 round cases.

So a clean after each shoot would just be better i guess.

That was the previous batch. The current batch comes in green crates containing 1440 rounds.

I haven't had a problem with their 308 ammo, excpet it is dirty burning.

Doubt it, the guys at Tactical HQ have a Type 56 with more than 20k through it and I doubt they clean it often.
