Default Price check - CZ 75 Pre B

    Hi Guys,

A colleague of mine is immigrating to Ireland, and needs to sell his guns. He has a very nice, clean CZ 75 pre B that needs a new home...

    So the questions...
    1) What is fair price for a stainless 75 pre B, with 1 mag?
    2) Is the 75 pre B still relevant at the price from 1) above
    3) Are there other options that I should (rather?) consider than a CZ 75

I know it is not a small/light pistol, but, I do not EDC, and have no intentions to do so. I do not own other hand guns. Should I decide to get the gun, it will be for occasional carry when I travel and feel I need a side arm, and when hunting for coup de grâce, if needed.

I have always liked the reputation, and to be honest, the looks of the CZ 75. and this gun ticks the boxes for me. I would just rather check before buying, than having to live with buyers remorse...

Few folks ever regretted owning a CZ 75. They can do the job.

They go for R4500- R7000, depending type and condition. R5000 is probably a good start. Have a look at the Classic Arms auctions and online websites like gunbroker.

    However,

Should I decide to get the gun, it will be for occasional carry when I travel and feel I need a side arm, and when hunting for coup de grâce, if needed.
This will not help much. Please consider going all the way and start carrying. One cannot rely on emotions (feeling the need of a side arm) when it comes to the reality of being attacked. A side arm is exactly that - it should be at your side. Otherwise it will only be in the safe on the day you need it, only to be taken by some bad guy after he has forced you to open the safe.

The CZ 75 can get real heavy without a good belt and holster combination.

You can get a good used Glock or CZ P-07 for R6500 - R8500 without too much trouble.

Are you sure that it is stainless and not hard chrome?

Kitted to racegun, yes. Pre B doesn't have firing pin block or other safety stuff except for a crude thumb safety, and paired with a heavier frame it's actually a very lekker sporting gun.

    15k racegun?
Shits and giggles open gun for sure but I wouldn't call it a racegun. Even then, the initial investment will outweigh any profits one might hope to make.

You don't see too many 75s even in production and I doubt it's because they are very lekker or the lack of safeties.

Its not Stainless if its a Pre B

And 15k is realistic only if you smoke crack.
