Intro

Hi All

I read the recent thread about the lack of activity on the forum so I thought as a new member, I will add some content for you to read..

My dad taught me about firearms as a kid and I fondly remember him explaining all of the components of his Rossi 2" snubby to me and how it worked.
Since then I have played with BB/C02 guns for years and always plinked in my bedroom. Dodging the ricochets like you were in the Matrix.

About two years ago, a friend and I decided to spend some time at different ranges in Cape Town shooting pistols.
Once I discovered FBSCC and saw some guys shooting IPSC, I had to join in.


I'm from Cape Town and participate fairly regularly in IDPA/SADPA at FBSCC and have only been shooting sport for a year.
Shooting sports has taken up a big part of my life over the last year and I have made a few friends out of it and had a great experience at Southern Nationals.


My first FA was a S&W Mod 66. Stainless steel 4" chambered in 357 Magnum.

Since then I have purchased a few other toys and am waiting for a few others to come into the country.

I reload and have used this site extensively to get information on powders and loads. I thank you all for putting your information and experiences out there for people to learn from.
I really like the discussions on how S121 is out to kill you and am using it now that MS200 is impossible to find.


I hope that this short read is sufficient as an intro and hopefully I can contribute more to the forum discussions in the future.
