    Default Lucky find

I was going through my local gunshops's "bargain bin" (the one filled with all kinds of firearms nobody ever buys like the ROHM .22 short, copies of baby brownings etc) and then I found something lurking in the bottom.
Turns out to be a 1938 P08 Luger from the Mauser factory. Found the two matching serial numbered magazines for it as well.
Containing my excitement at the "exorbitant" price of R1500, I immediately proceeded to buy the item in question.
Sales lady says that it's so old and ugly, nobody wants to buy it.
They even gave me three rounds to test-fire it at their indoor shooting range to make sure it still functions.
Needless to say, the grand old German lady performed flawlessly.

    Lucky me.
Am currently in the process of licensing it.

Go buy the Rohm .22 short for your wife. Then she won't complain about the money you spent on the Luger.

His wife's gun collection is almost as big as his (her collection theme is modern polymer framed pistols if I remember correctly).
