    Default Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez

What is your opinion of the freshman congresswoman? I've heard bad things about her (i.e that she is rabidly anti-gun for example) but several news outlets such as yahoo and CNN worship her.

Is "Democratic Socialism" a viable political ideology (personally, I say no, but I am open to hear different opinions).

She seems to be either insane, or retarded.

Both. I simply cannot get close to, or relate to any Democratic viewpoint. Their viewpoints are all issues raised by the academia, fervently adopted and believed by the people with scant regard for history and reality.

You are experiencing socialism right now in SA.

Ask yourself:does it work? Why is your answer yes/no?

It sounds nice on paper, but people are not emotionless robots.

It only works in places where people are ultra disciplined countries such as Sweden, Denmark Norway and Finland.
These countries have established economies. no corruption and a highly educated population.

That discipline is easier to maintain when everyone pays into a system where everyone also benefits eqauly.

If half of the population has to subsidise the other half that contribute very little then it quickly leads to resentment and the justified notion that hiding as much of your wealth as possible is the best way to go.

Once you break the social contract there is little incentive to cooperate, instead it is everyone for himself like here in SA.

AOC has publicly stated that it is more important to be "morally" right then it is to be "factually correct". Even CNN has taken her to task on this.

In her view then, it's ok to lie as the end justifies the means.

If this doesn't sound familiar, think everything that GFSA says.

She probably could be a breath of fresh air to US politics, however right now she sounds like an entitled millennium.

Do yourself a favour by searching YouTube for some of her interviews.

She’s actually not bright at all... the amount of times she had to explain her views during interviews too.

For example, she wants the super rich to be taxed at a rate of 70%.

If she is so egalitarian, then why does she always wear Prada and Gucci clothes and shoes? That sounds a tad hypocritical to me.
