A step in the right direction that will make it easier for Brazilians to defend their God given and constitutionally guaranteed rights to life, liberty, dignity and security of the person.

Hopefully it will act as a Bellwether for other countries, notably South Africa. Italy is now also considering loosening it's gun laws and broadening conditions where it is legal to use force in self defence.

Screw the so called "security experts" (experts according to who? themselves?) whose predictions that stricter gun laws would result in less crime has turned out to be dismally wrong.

Still can't actually carry a gun in public though... weird.

A hell of a lot of crime happens on their streets.. so not sure how that helps.

He is signing an executive order to make permits easier to acquire for ownership. He can do that without the legislature changing the law. To make carry easier, it requires a bill to reach his desk.
